Sri Lankan Film Industry was flopped due to several reasons and the major reason is approach of Television and in recent development of technology of DVD and VCD film. Those DVD and VCD are widespread around the country it’s easy and more reliable to get a DVD or VCD for 100 Rupees or 150Rupees without going to cinema hall .There are few cinema halls in Sri Lanka with respective to other countries so film industry cannot survived due to this situation .There are few award ceremonies like
